Lydia’s teaching is a breath of fresh air! After struggling with textbook-style lessons, her approach—focusing on real-life Greek while still emphasizing grammar and vocabulary—has been a game-changer. Joining a My Sweet Greece group class pushed me out of my comfort zone, letting me practice short conversations with other learners. Now, I’m confidently using Greek phrases around Nafplio. If you want to learn Greek authentically, Oh my sweet Greece is the way to go!

I highly recommend Lydia as a teacher! Her enthusiasm and diverse teaching methods make learning Greek easy, fun, and practical. Since starting lessons, my daily life in Greece has improved—I can understand conversations, interact in shops, and even read Greek completely. As someone learning their fourth (and most challenging) language, I’ve had many teachers, and Lydia is truly one of the best. She listens to your needs and tailors her lessons accordingly. Thank you, Lydia—ευχαριστώ πολύ!

My boyfriend and I moved to Greece, and learning the local language was a must. Lydia is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher with a genuine love for Greek. She creates her own highly effective materials, making learning accessible even for beginners like me. After completing her A1 course, I can confidently use Greek in daily life and hold small conversations. Lydia covers all aspects of the language—speaking, reading, writing, and listening—exceptionally well!

After exploring your website, I could tell you were a passionate and supportive teacher, and I’m happy to say I was right! Starting from scratch, I’ve improved in all areas of Greek. I love how you seamlessly integrate grammar into real-life situations and adapt lessons based on natural conversations, even while following a common curriculum. It’s been such an enjoyable and effective way to learn!

I joined this course with little experience or confidence in speaking modern Greek, and it exceeded my expectations! The course was well-structured, allowing participants to choose themes and develop them based on their interests and language level. The idea of recording brief messages was brilliant—it helped me identify recurring mistakes, and my tutor provided clear explanations on how to correct them. A truly effective and enjoyable learning experience!

I absolutely love my classes with Lydia! I started with just a basic level of Greek, and she has already helped me improve my conversational skills significantly. While I still have a long way to go before fluency, I’m confident I’ll continue to progress with her incredible teaching. Lydia’s patience, understanding of Greek nuances, and non-judgmental approach make learning comfortable and enjoyable. I can’t recommend her highly enough!

I enrolled in this course after moving to Greece, wanting to learn the language, and I couldn’t be happier! Lydia and her course materials are fantastic. She meets you at your level (I had already taken a beginner’s course) and builds from there. The topics are practical and focused on everyday life, making them easy to remember. If I struggle with something we covered earlier, she revisits it and explains it again. I’m growing more confident in understanding and speaking Greek in real-life situations.

I joined this course to improve my conversational skills, one of my biggest challenges in Greek, and I can already see progress! I love how the lessons are structured yet flexible, allowing for the natural flow of conversation. And yes—homework is a big plus! Combining it with conversational practice helps us apply what we’ve learned in real, unscripted scenarios. It’s been an incredibly effective approach!

I was hesitant to join group classes, as I wanted the full attention of a teacher. However, after my first group class with Lydia, I completely changed my mind! She was incredibly attentive to both of our needs, and having a third person to exchange ideas with made the experience even better. I highly recommend group classes with Lydia!
