Our Greek group lessons bring together learners just like you: people who understand exactly what it feels like to stumble over a word or freeze mid-sentence. In our mini-groups of 2-4 students, you’ll practice together, laugh at the same mistakes, celebrate small victories, and cheer each other on. When someone in your group finally nails that tricky verb conjugation, you all feel it. When you’re stuck on a phrase, your classmates are right there working through it with you.

And along the way, something beautiful happens: real friendships form. Students who start as strangers become study partners, accountability buddies, and friends who share their Greece stories, travel tips, and language wins long after class ends.

These online group Greek lessons are designed for expats, travelers, and anyone living in or visiting Greece who wants to communicate effectively with locals. Whether you’re a complete beginner (A1), building a foundation (A2), or aiming to enhance your conversational skills (B1) these courses help you confidently handle everything from simple exchanges like shopping and asking for directions, to engaging in meaningful conversations about local culture and daily life.

In our group Greek lessons you will...

Be a part of a small learning group (2-4 students) so that the atmosphere is intimate and the teacher can give everyone attention.
Connect with new people who love travelling to Greece or have family here and have the same goals like you. Meet with students of the same language level and similar needs so that you work and progress together.
Meet once a week for three weeks* with your teacher and classmates for 75 mins so that there is plenty of time for everything: useful vocabulary and grammar but also lots of speaking practice!
Practise your conversational skills in Greek and improve your fluency through real-life scenarios, opinion exchange activities, commentaries on texts, pictures and videos.
Improve your accuracy through bite-sized yet detailed grammar notes and activities.
Have weekly written assignments for out-of-class practise and a more personalised experience through our detailed feedback.

Group Greek lessons for levels A1 - B1

A1 - Beginners (Α1.1, Α1.2, Α1.3)

Start learning basic phrases to introduce yourself, ask simple questions, and navigate everyday tasks in Greek.

A2 - Elementary

Build on your foundation to hold short conversations, express opinions, and handle everyday situations with ease.

B1 - Intermediate

Gain confidence to engage in deeper conversations, express yourself fluently, and navigate more complex situations in Greek.

For the A1 level, we offer three sub-levels (A1.1, A1.2, A1.3) because learners at this stage have a wide range of starting points. Some may be complete beginners (they don’t know how to read or write yet), others may have a basic understanding of the language, and others begin to learn more about forming sentences in the past and future. This way, we can offer more tailored support at each stage.

The course material was very well targeted and motivating as it worked with daily situations, so I was using the phrases often soon in my daily life. What platform do you use for online Greek group lessons?

We use Zoom for all our online Greek group lessons. It’s easy to use, reliable, and allows everyone to participate fully. You can see your classmates and teacher, share your screen, and even annotate on shared materials.

How many students are in Greek group lessons?

Our Greek group lessons are intentionally small, with just 2-4 students per class. This mini-group size ensures everyone gets personalized attention from the teacher while still enjoying the collaborative energy and peer support that makes group learning so effective. You’re never lost in a crowd.

What if I miss a Greek group lesson?

We understand life happens! While group lessons cannot be rescheduled (since the whole group meets at a set time), you’ll receive a video recording of the lesson you missed so you can catch up on your own time and stay on track with the rest of the group.

Can I switch from group to private Greek lessons later or perhaps combine group with private?

Absolutely! Many students start with Greek group lessons and later add private sessions for extra support, or switch to private lessons entirely if their goals change. We’re flexible and can help you find the learning format that works best for you at any stage.

Will I make friends in Greek group lessons?

That’s one of the best parts! Our small group size (2-4 students) naturally fosters connection. Students often exchange contact information, practice together outside of class via WhatsApp, and even plan trips to Greece together. You’re not just learning Greek—you’re joining a community of people who share your passion.

Can I take a break or pause my Greek group lessons?

Since our Greek group lessons follow a 12-week structured course with the same group of students progressing together, pausing mid-course isn’t ideal. However, if you need to take a break, you can join the next learning circle when it starts. We run new courses throughout the year, so you can always continue when you’re ready.

How can I pay for Greek group lessons?

We accept payment via debit card, credit card, bank transfer, or PayPal. All payment details will be provided when you enroll.

What curriculum do you follow for Greek group lessons?

Our Greek group lessons use original teaching materials that we’ve carefully designed to align with the official curriculum framework from the Centre for the Greek Language in Thessaloniki. Yes! We offer Greek group lessons specifically designed for complete beginners (A1.1 level) where everyone starts from zero together.
