Based in Athens and having graduated from the faculty of Greek Philology of the National University of Athens we have a strong academic and pedagogical background in the analysis and teaching of Greek language and literature.

Our mission is to help adult learners communicate in Greek through materials that inspire them, motivate them and engage them both cognitively and emotionally.

For this reason:

  • we create all our materials so that we ensure that they lead to meaningful discussions with our students
  • we make Greek grammar simple through step-by-step guides and by focusing on everyday examples
  • we design writing and speaking activities that are fun, engaging and effective

My deep-rooted passion for Greek language and literature led me to pursue a degree in Greek Philology at the National University of Athens.

My professional journey as a Modern Greek language teacher for adult learners began in 2014, and since then, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students and institutions. Over the years, I have collaborated with Greek schools, embassies, and international companies, assisting their executives based in Athens in mastering the Greek language.

In 2019, I took a significant step in my career by founding Oh my sweet Greece. This venture is dedicated to helping adult learners communicate effectively in Greek, using meticulously crafted educational materials that engage them both cognitively and emotionally.

In 2022, I expanded my academic horizons and earned a Master’s degree in Analysis and Teaching Methods for both first and second/foreign languages. My Master’s thesis delved into innovative methods that enhance the development of effective language learning materials.

I’m dedicated to the mission of bridging language and culture, helping individuals connect with the beauty of the Greek language and the richness of Greek literature.

Born and raised in Athens, I fell in love with the Greek language, literature and culture during my school years and participated in plenty of projects and activities related to Greek language and heritance. Following my passion I studied Greek Philology at the National University of Athens. I have been teaching Modern and Ancient Greek language and literature since 2017 and I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm with my students.

This is the reason why I fully embrace the communicative and humanistic approach in language learning that Oh my sweet Greece is build on and I consider it to be the best and most effective way to learn a new language; engaging the student cognitively and emotionally.

Ever since I was little, I wanted to teach the Greek language, with the goal of helping others learn it in a fun way, following their own path. That is why I chose to study Philology and pursue a Master’s degree in Theory and Practice of Educational Work.

However, my true passion for teaching Greek specifically as a foreign or second language emerged when I moved for 3 years to the United States. It was there that I discovered my desire to focus on supporting learners of Greek, as I realized that teaching is not only about grammar, rules, and vocabulary – it is about sharing your culture and offering a window into the Greek way of thinking.

Since 2021, my goal has been to embark on this journey with my students, guiding them to discover the Greek language and culture in a personal, meaningful, and inspiring way.
